Insurgency (Source) [External Link] mainly, but also Snake Pass [External Link] (thx Houtworm) a nice game with unusual controls that works without any problem so far with Proton 5.0-9!

Quoting: t3gWell, it's difficult for me to answer this question as I've never run Sandstorm! I love the Source Engine Insurgency for its tactical gameplay on coop (I don't play often on PvP) and I just suppose that I can have the same feeling on Sandstorm with better graphics (Source Insurgency looks good enough on urban maps and has nice skyboxes but there is often something that don't feel "organic" enough in the layout because everything seems to be too much aligned on a grid, not a problem on dense urban areas but that don't work that much on Peak or Panj maps for example), a bit of character customization (which is always fun and may lead to less "Hey X, is that you on the other side of the street?" when I play with friends and we are using Steam vocal chat for coordination) and more weapons / games mechanics variety (always nice to have)... and performance issues on Sandstorm seem to be a thing of the past now (from what I've heard)! Note that I will probably play Source Insurgency nonetheless as some of my friends don't have PC that can run Sandstorm (Source Insurgency has really a good "Looks good vs Hardware needed" ratio imho), but sometimes I wish to be able to play on an upgraded / more modern version of the game (and Sandstorm seems to run just fine on Proton outside of the obvious EAC problem)! :smile:Quoting: riusmaInsurgency: Sandstorm is back on my wishlist! :tongue:Is the original still better?

Insurgency [External Link] even if I didn't have much time to play last week unfortunately... Maybe I will have a look at Ground Branch [External Link] through Proton (seems to run well according to Protondb) after their next update as a new tactical shooter (we are definitively lacking in that field), hopping that it will be possible to have an easy to setup listen server in the near future (they will probably have an anticheat that will block Proton in the end). :)

With some friends (Linux & Windows) we abandoned L4D2 (after twenty hours of play) for Insurgency and I must say that it is really an excellent tactical FPS, very pleasant to play (mainly in coop on the official servers for the moment), with a rather pleasant community (some undesirable behaviors from time to time but rather little overall) ... almost sixty hours of play in a few weeks and I do not think that I will stop soon (and there is not much else available in terms of tactical FPS under Linux)! ^_^

Quoting: EikeI have just finished The Red Strings Club [External Link], and while it's not traditional point and click, it deserves being played for its atmosphere and the questions it asks. Currently in the Devolver Digital sale for 50% (7 ½ € here).I think I will play this game again just for the fun it gave me during the cocktail making sequences! ^_^ Great atmosphere! :)

Hollow Knight : one last ending to go and I think that I will be done with that game (fights are to technical for me now, I will try more relaxing games for some time)... almost 100 hours (I'm above 100% completion, you can reach the ending in less time) of pure enjoyment! :)

Quoting: LestibournesI like the company and I own all their games, but I can't stomach horror so I don't play them. I really wish they would make a game that isn't horror, like maybe a creepy but not scary mystery so that for once I could enjoy their work.Have you tried SOMA with the Safe Mode enabled? With it you can enjoy almost all the game (and its incredible story) without being harmed by any monster (I say "almost" because the game has some "chase sequences" where you will need to run for your life despite the "Safe Mode"). The story is IMHO more than worth the remaining anxiety! :)
