That must also mean that the 470 driver is about to be released, which is probably the more interesting thing right now.
Quoting: toojaysHopefully this means Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition will be playable soon. Although I only have a 2060 so maybe it's irrelevant.Don't think that it has much to do with that. For that vkd3d just needs more complete DXR support than it has now.

Quoting: PinguinoAs someone who only plays single-player ETS2, I'm a bit confused. Isn't World of Trucks their multiplayer server? If memory serves me well, I remember seeing some screenshots of multiple human-driven trucks on the same map, so what am I missing? It wasn't yet. For the past couple of years it just served contracts and special events, but no multiplayer in a sense of letting people actually drive in the same world. However, it has always been the vision to make that happen once they can figure out how to practically do that.

I haven't been following ATS/ETS2 as closely lately, but I wasn't expecting this. I suppose they had to start somewhere and they have a lot of work to do before they can truly make it so that thousands can share the world. And this will work properly for Linux clients!

Quoting: Liam DaweOh and on the subscription versus buying to own argument. The Steam agreement is clear you don't own Steam games. They might write those things, but I doubt it would hold up if it was ever legally tested. At least under European consumer protection laws.

Hive Time has been an exceptionally smooth experience for me. It works on ultrawide without issues. And when I went to do my usual key rebinding, I found that it had bound both the qwerty and appropriate dvorak keys to the actions, which was a nice touch. Only had to rebind one.

Quoting: TheSHEEEPIt is really interesting to me how much work and money goes into this.I would bet on the fact that nvidia's Linux support is primarily focussed on their professional users in the graphical industry. Linux gamers do provide a nice test bed for driver support though.
This cannot all be just for the few percent of gamers using Linux.

If crippling mining would actually work and help normalise the GPU market a bit, go for it. Sure it is not perfect, but in absence of a quick fix it would be the lesser evil. Of course, I'm not so sure it will actually work and that people will find a way to circumvent the limits.
Who would have thought that buying an excessively expensive GPU over two years ago would actually have been a wise investment.

Now that is a good way to showcase your game. No list of fake screenshot and "in-engine" fake gameplay like most AA games. Just straight into action and show off the gameplay.
And after Valheim and Prodeus, another demonstration of how low resolution textures and less detailed models can still look amazing if you get the atmosphere right.
Wishlisted.
Edit: I also see that the dev screenshot is ultrawide. So that bodes well for proper ultrawide support!
