Painkiller Hell & Damnation should be released soon for Linux!
3 Jun 2013 at 12:23 pm UTC

Guys remember not to buy until it comes to Linux.
I made the mistake of buying it before it was released... :/
As soon as I saw the news it was coming to Linux a couple of months back, I bought it immediately thinking it was right around the corner. Wish there was a way I could let Steam know which platform my purchase counts for, like in the Humble Bundles. Thanks for the reminder Strider, I've got to be more careful in the future.

The Cheapskate's Corner 3 (May 29th - Jun 4th) (UPDATED)

Hahaha, the Be Mine 8 mystery game tactic they've employed really made me chuckle. Love the idea, even if it's not a Linux game. HumbleBundle 8 is awesome in my opinion, love Hotline Miami. Thanks for continuing my favourite corner muntdefems :P

The DRM-Free version of Hotline Miami works pretty smoothly on Ubuntu 13.04. It actually works better than the Windows one (Windows-version crashes constantly and won't stretch to my entire screen resolution). So far Awesomenauts still has some issues. Can't join others because the game will crash. Can play practice modes though. For the Be Mine 8 bundle, most of the games work in Wine no problem from my testing which is pretty cool. Ah, so many games and so little time.

Heavy Gear Assault heading to Linux

As soon as I read Unreal Engine 4, I thought there had to be a mistake. Highly unlikely that Unreal would support a platform yet stay quiet about it (especially with the Unity devs flaunting their multi-platform prowess). I'd say there isn't enough information out in the open to warrant our trust that there will be a Linux version.

Reprisal the Populous like game has a new Linux test build!

Works fine in Ubuntu 13.04 :)
There's no way to play it in fullscreen yet? I am surprised it's very lively animations for a 2D game.

We have 3 copies of Postal 2 to give to you!

And if you really want one, I could give you the one I got as part of my Desura purchase.
Sure! If it's not too much trouble. If you can't or don't want to in the end, it's no problem :)

Quoting: HamishThese are being given out like candy. The amount of free Steam keys I have been given or offered for Postal 2 borders on insanity. And I am not even going to be using any of them. :P
I wouldn't mind taking one off your hands :P
Are the devs giving them out as publicity, or could there be a new game coming out?

Quoting: OrkultusWhen are we getting painkiller - Hell and Damnation?
Good question. The devs did say around April or May, so it could be before the end of this month. Oh man, so many goodies for Linux. I'm behaving like a child on the inside with all these releases ^_^

My screen's refresh rate is only 60Hz, but being able to view how high the fps can go in-game allows me to gauge just how well my card/driver can handle the game or not. It's not very important, but I like to geek out at this sort of thing a bit :D
