NVIDIA Linux driver 515.76 is out, as is Mesa 22.2 for AMD / Intel

Quoting: AbreuWhat's best: AMD Proprietary drivers or up-to-date Mesa drivers?
AFAIK you use Mesa for gaming because it is better and install amdgpu-pro alongside Mesa for OpenCL/compute stuff because Mesa doesn't support them.

A new Proton Experimental release hooks up NVAPI for lots of games on Linux

Quoting: deathxxxWhat exactly does this om games? NVAPI
The effect is that you no longer need to use launch parameters to use DLSS, Nvidia Reflex etc. on these games. DXVK spoofs Nvidia GPUs as AMD by default, because otherwise games attempt to use NVAPI and it didn't work out well in the past.

Quoting: setzer22Wait, you can actually play games? Using an Nvidia card? On a Linux Desktop? I thought that was AMD-only
I play on Optimus laptop, GamingOnLinuxWithNvidia isn't a myth ;)

That's nice to hear but considering that I am a Linux user for less than 2 years and haven't used KDEnLive on Windows, it isn't much helpful. I will try again, anyways.

I tried KDEnLive in the past (maybe 1 yr ago) and had problems with basic functionality. Perhaps I didn't understand how to use, and I used OpenShot even if it barely worked in my case with frequent crashes. I should take another look at KDEnLive when I need video editing again.

Quoting: fagnerlnThis would be awesome if Linux had native apps of streaming services like Netflix and Amazon
What is wrong with browsers or web apps? Are they inferior compared to a native application?

Linux user share on Steam continues the slow climb, SteamOS rises
3 Sep 2022 at 6:24 am UTC

Quoting: LamdarerCould be that Arch actually dominates with other derivatives like Endevour etc on the other side there is also Linux Mint or POP!_OS which are Ubuntu Based as well.
Arch derivates have their own /etc/os-release (or whatever) and don't appear as Arch.
Quoting: LamdarerBut what bugs me the most is that while SteamOS Holo has 13.69% for Linux, the AMD Custom GPU has more 13.72%. Wouldnt that mean that there is a significant portion of Deck users who installed another Linux Distro on it
People got bored and started doing other way around😂 Anyways, there a few different use cases for using non SteamOS but it doesn't matter.
