Intel reveals Arc Graphics A-Series desktop GPU specifications

It'll be good to see some practical numbers. In the video I see that the Arc 7 is rated for 225 W, which is substantially less than the heavy hitters from AMD and NVidia, so I wonder how much performance they squeeze out of that.

Of course, for me personally there are other things that are important now. How would this work with VR on Linux? Would it support async reprojection for VR. Will it support VRR in the same seamless manner as my NV GPU does G-SYNC now?

I remember playing the demo this summer, but for some reasons, it seems that they removed it ?
It may not be visible, but it is usually not removed. You can almost always go to SteamDB, find the demo and click install from there.

we won't be able to make a Native Linux build, there were far too many issues and we couldn't get it to run properly. The Proton version of the game has a much smoother experience
How can this be? Why is it this way all the way nowadays? The game runs better on the get go via assets and tech made for Windows rather than what is meant for Linux?
Simple. You make promises during the kickstarter to get funds. Then don't care at all until way down the line where you find that you made some very poor decisions during development.

I removed this one from my wishlist a while back because I didn't think it would happen. It's now solidly sorted on the Windows only pile. Which means that any purchase will only be made when my desire to play it coincides with me having time to do so. Combined with my near endless backlog, that probably won't ever happen.

Seems I'll be replaying Half-Life 2 again soon but this time in VR

Definitely going to try it, but I do fear the vehicle bits. Linear motion doesn't bother me at all now that I'm fully used to it, but rotation still feels very wrong.

Too many giants around for that. In fact, for now I'd say Sony and Microsoft would be the first to be targeted for that sort of thing because they have two sides of the coin.

The big thing here is probably the Middle Earth stuff, which would give them the opportunity to do quite a few games in a relatively popular franchise.

Less than a month in EA. A whole bunch of bugs fixed, community levels added to one game and a generator to another. This is why I never worried about buying a Zach game in EA.

What was actually good on PS3? Not that I'm likely to play it since I don't really have any nostalgia for this machine, but I'm curious because this seems to be a big hole in my game knowledge.

I need to give this game another try. It's fairly complicated, so I'll probably have to start at the tutorial again. Seems to be a very common reason for me why I don't get further in certain games.

Nice. Not the worst abuse I've seen though. That honour goes to the dev that renamed their games to prefix them with !" in order to get sorted on top.

Souls inspired lock-on combat system
I despise lock-on systems. This is something for controller play, not for MKB play and I hate that some games feel that it is necessary to force it on MKB players.
