A Fighting game combined with a BRAWLER! With a huge sword, rocket launcher and a FLAMETHROWER! Coming to the Windows/Mac/Linux/PSVita!
Bleed is an indie bullet hell shootem-up platformer by Bootdisk Revolution. Originally released in 2013, the developer had stated low hopes of a native port release, but the wait for that day is now over! Initial thoughts are included.
The unique action RPG with card deck building mechanics, Hand of Fate, is finally fully released after a year of being in Early Access. The game has a spiffy new trailer to show off the game.
Enter the Gungeon is a recent discovery that has me excited! It looks similar to Nuclear Throne in an over the top kind of way, and I love it.
Apotheon is a heroic action game set within the vibrant world of Ancient Greek Mythology. Ascend Mount Olympus, wrestle the divine powers from the Pantheon of Gods, and save mankind.
Crimsonland is finally on Linux after 11 years of being on other platforms (originally released in 2003), so is it any good? We take a look and create a bloody mess.
From the Depths is a game we completely missed covering! Sadly, Steam still doesn't show games that are new for Linux if the Linux build comes later in the development cycle sometimes, so we are fixing this by covering it now!
I have to hand it to Techland, they have been responsive to my many requests, and this new patch is proof of their work on Dying Light.
You have to hand it to the Unvanquished team, as they do put in a lot of effort to make a great game. Alpha 36 has been released, and it features some brand new models.
Forward to the Sky is a new Steam release indie title based on the idea of taking the Japanese Anime / Visual Novel art-style and incorporating it into a action puzzle platformer with a "run of the mill" campy story.
The open world pirate RPG Raven’s Cry has been released with day one Linux support. Raven’s Cry looks promising in terms of story and setting, featuring historically accurate architecture from the 18th century, a morality system, side-quests and economy system.
BADLAND is an atmospheric side-scrolling action adventure platformer set in a gorgeous forest full of various inhabitants, trees and flowers. Although the forest appears to be right out of a beautiful fairy tale, there’s something terribly wrong.
Few days ago the remaster of Fahrenheit popped up on Amazon with Aspyr logos and penguins. Well, it seems that Aspyr is indeed behind the remaster and the Tux was put on there for a purpose. Behold, the next Aspyr Linux port is here!
Darksiders is another big game we are excited about, and sadly the current people in charge of the port haven't replied to our messages, but thanks to SteamDB we can see it's still happening.
Majestic Nights is an episodic action-adventure-thriller set in an alternate 1980s where all conspiracy theories, past and present are True. The developers have looked into it, and have removed parts that don't work on Linux, and so it begins!
It's quite hard to contain my excitement about this game, but as always we will give it a fair look and tell you what we think about Dying Light. This post continues to be updated, and it's really not good. Updated 28th January for game-breaking bugs.
Dying Light is now confirmed for Linux thanks to the announcement from the developers on the Steam store itself. The Linux icons show up on the store pages, and the game even has a steam coming soon banner on the home-page. Time to get seriously excited.
Something quite curious has appeared on Amazon today. A remaster of a cult game Indigo Prophecy, or Fahrenheit here in Europe, has been added onto the store. And now for the really good bit: the cover has an Aspyr logo and a very familiar penguin.
Reassembly is easily one of our favourite games for a fantastic mix of good music, an extremely simple spaceship editor and fun combat. The developer has released a big update, and the game has grown rather a lot in a short space of time.
Well this was a surprised! Dying Light has hints that it may come to Linux thanks to information from the awesome SteamDB. UPDATED: Linux icon now on the store!
