Right now on Steam you can get some really insane deals, so I've picked out a bunch for cash-strapped Linux gamers.

Heavy Gear Assault, an online mech-battle arena is now available in Steam Early Access. It has Linux support, but it has issues you should know about.

Mad Nords: Probably an Epic Quest is one I missed from early December that launched with Linux support. It looks simple, until you watch the trailer.

Later than I had originally hoped, but Best Buds vs Bad Guys has officially released for Linux. I actually Kickstarted this game, so I was hoping it would be good.

Way back in 2014, Valve were approving games from Greenlight in batches. In one particular batch the game 'Northern Shadow' came up on my radar as a very promising looking RPG. Sadly though, it has officially ceased development.

I like survival games, but often I find them hard to get into. Wrongworld looks like it will make that rather easy, as it just looks so damn funny.

I discovered 'Mugsters' recently and after watching the trailer I feel like I just have to play it. It looks downright hilarious.

Prison Architect got a surprise holiday update and it's an interesting one. It adds a little more simulation for your staff along with some bug fixes.

I liked Transport Fever, but the performance at release was pretty damn bad. The developers were well aware of this and so they have released a big performance patch.

Distance is easily one of my favourite racing games available on Linux. It has slick graphics, seriously good music and now it has support for ghost cars and replays.

RimWorld, the colony building simulator has a massive alpha 16 update named 'Wanderlust' and it's truly huge.

Darkest Dungeon is a hard and long game, but thankfully the developers know what to do about it. They are planning to add in a shorter game mode for you. They also recently added in gamepad support.

The developers of Lifeless Planet have continued to improve their Linux beta, as it's now running on Unity 5 and has the improved graphics from the PS4 version.

Parkitect is really coming along nicely and just before the Christmas break it was updated with more great features.

Crypt of the NecroDancer: AMPLIFIED is the first gameplay DLC for the roguelike rhythm game and it sounds great.

Team17 decided to postpone the cross-platform online play update for Worms W.M.D to ensure it all goes smoothly. They also have more planned!
