Insurgency was very exciting to have on Linux, as it's the most tactical FPS game we have available. The new updates have made it much more fun too, with gamepad support and decent Steam Controller support added in.
I love keeping an eye on Maia, as it's one of the only building sims that isn't going for some sort of retro style. Progress isn't quick, but each new release does push out some big new stuff, and this new release is no different.
Turok: Dinosaur Hunter takes the best from the N64 and PC versions, puts them into a new engine and then released into the wild. It looks like the developers are planning a Linux release too.
Khronos has given an official update on Vulkan, there's good news, and there's bad news. The year-end target release date for Vulkan will not be met. However, they are in the home stretch and the release of Vulkan 1.0 is imminent!
Not quite as bad news as the Rocket League delay, but Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition for Linux & SteamOS is being held up by some memory corruption issues. UPDATED.

Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna) is a beautiful looking atmospheric puzzle platformer about finding the source of a never-ending blizzard. Looks like it will come to Linux now too!
