AMD publishes the source code for FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 (FSR 2)

I'm wondering about the "anti-aliasing" bit. This is what I've always been interested in. Can you render at normal resolution and just use it as a form of anti-aliasing. Would the results be good?

Replacing TAA sounds a bit worrying though. As I understood from a tech discussion by Star Citizen devs (in response to making TAA optional), TAA often includes more than just anti-aliasing and can be very hard to separate from other rendering features. If so, that may hinder adoption.

Quoting: Craggles086Who wouldn’t love to play Elite Dangerous on their Steam Deck?
Last I heard ED was playable on deck. And no, it would not be my choice for a deck game.

I played the short demo last year (it was only one screen). Did something get added now?

FOUNTAINS is a promising looking metroidvania action-RPG with a demo up

Played the demo a week ago. Pretty nice and not overly difficult. Missing some things on the technical aspect. Made a complete mess of fullscreen on my ultrawide (scaled it to the width and then clipped the bottom off), so I had to go windowed with the only option being a very small screen. I'm sure Godot allows for better handling of these things, so that's definitely something that needs attention.

Proton 7.0-3 is out further improving compatibility on Steam Deck and Linux

Quoting: Purple Library GuyMakes me think there should be a Proton/Wine/Whatever for making Linux programs run on Linux . . .
That's what Valve is making the runtimes for. But even then, Linux is not about maintaining backward compatibility. Good if you want to keep you system modern and light. But bad if you want to run old stuff.

Snif. Well, I'll definitely add this last Zach release to my library. Since I only finished three, I still need years to finish them all.

Total War: WARHAMMER III released for Linux with a port from Feral

Sadly, it's another port from Feral that has multiplayer locked per operating system. We repeatedly asked them to clarify it before release but they wouldn't say.
There was obviously no chance in hell that their would be cross-play with Windows. But this suggests that it won't happen between mac and linux either. That's a step down from other releases where they did change the MP code.

Quoting: EhvisCombined game view! Yes! Now I really need the Amazon Games Store added to it.
I think Ubi or Origin would make more sense as they cooperate with Epic already.
He probably suggested it because there's a working open-source client (nile) compatible with Amazon Games Store already, so Heroic just needs to add support for it.
Exactly. Plus, AGS doesn't have any GUI support yet.
