Prior to the release of v2.2, multiplayer on Proton would not work either. I really hope it's now fixed, it's one of the few games I play online with friends.

It's a complete remake not a remaster. All that's left of original game is a story and characters.

And the story is only nominally the same, there are some very big differences.

I was a hard die fan of FF7 back in the day, and my first FF... even with the crappy port for PC. So, I couldn't resist buying the remake, albeit the high price for it. Almost 3h in, and loving it! Is not a perfect game, and some changes still need to sink in, but the ability to play at 4K with my PC, and in Linux, is a delight. Thanks SE and Valve!
